Kanadavia Filter Press offers five key advantages that make them ideal for production environments requiring high performance, reliability, and excellent quality. Kanadevia Filter Press is developed for easy maintenance, fully automatic operation, and structure optimized for cake washing and contamination control. This page outlines these core benefits and explains why Kanadavia Filter Press is a trusted solution across various industries.
Easy Exchange of Filter Cloth
The filter cloth is the component that requires the most frequent replacement in Filter Press. Kanadavia Filter Press is designed with a top-hanging filter cloth structure, allowing for quick and easy replacement without the need for complex disassembly. Please watch our filter cloth replacement video to see how simple the process is. ・For standard plates, the filter cloth can be removed by detaching the feed ring and lifting the filter cloth upward. ・For squeezing plates, there is no feed ring, so the cloth can be removed simply by lifting the filter cloth upward—making maintenance more efficient. This user-friendly design minimizes downtime and supports smooth, continuous operation.
Kanadavia Filter Press utilize a scraper for efficient and fully automated cake removal. As demonstrated in the video on the right, the scraper moves vertically between the filter plates and uses a durable plastic blade to automatically remove filter cake from two chambers at a time. This direct-contact cake discharge method ensures stable and consistent cake discharge, even with sticky or dense cakes. Automating the cake removal cause significant labor savings and enhances overall operational efficiency compared to manual or vibration-based cake discharge methods.
All wet parts are designed without using metal, ensuring chemical resistance. The primary materials are polypropylene (PP) for the filter cloth and feed ring, and natural rubber (NR) for the diaphragm sheet. These materials can be customized based on the chemical properties of the liquid being processed. For acidic slurries, additional acid-resistant options are available: the drip pan and gutter can be constructed from FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), and the side bars supporting the filter plates can be rubber-lined. This flexible material selection ensures optimal performance and durability.
The filter plate is designed without liquid supply ports on the filtration surface, allowing for the formation of a solid, hole-free filter cake. This design ensures a consistent and uniform cake layer, which is essential for high-precision cake wash process. The cleaning water inlet is positioned on the reverse side of the filter plate, enabling the water to flow evenly across the entire surface of the cake. This prevents short-passing and ensures thorough and uniform washing of the filter cake. In a demonstration test using a blue dye solution, it was visually confirmed that the cleaning water reached the center of the cake. This uniform cake washing plays a critical role in removing impurities and recovering valuable components from the filter cake.
In production process line where the filter cake is used as products, mitigating contamination is critical. Just like in cake washing, maintaining product purity requires specialized equipment design. Kanadavia filter press is designed with a gate-type scraper as a option specifically developed to reduce the risk of contamination. A key feature of this design is that the drive parts above the filter plate is fully enclosed, mitigating friction-derived metallic contaminants. Additionally, the gate-type scraper body is also covered, offering an extra layer of protection against environmental contaminants. This contamination-resistant structure ensures high-purity cake production, making it ideal for industries with strict quality standards.
